The end of the year festival, Lagos
Countdown Festival, initiated by Governor Babatunde Fashola (SAN), will soon
commence.
Scheduled to start from December
8, through to December 31, 2013, the 23-day event will hold at the Bar Beach in
Victoria Island, Lagos.
The event which is expected to
provide a platform for interaction, promotion of culture, family bonding and
celebration of music for Lagosians and tourists started last year with the aim
of placing the state on the global map, in the same league of cities as New
York, Dubai, London, Sydney and other cities that celebrate the annual cross
over into a New Year.
We gathered that Airtel Nigeria
would be partnering with Lagos State to make this year’s festival a fun filled
one.
Highlights of the festival among
others include live performance by popular Nigerian artistes, open mic night,
disco nights, games and display of light and fireworks.
