At a star studded event, the Eloy
2013 awards in partnership with the premium Irish cream drink, Baileys,
recently honoured sagacious and ingenious women with awards in recognition of
their commitment and achievements in their various fields of endeavours.
The crème de la crème in the world of fashion,
entertainment and business graced the spectacular event which took place at the
exquisite Red Carpet event centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
A brand known for celebrating the
stylish and contemporary woman, Baileys, was on hand to give full support to
all outstanding ladies and guests were treated to a special make up session at
the Baileys corner, which left them looking gorgeous for the night.
Speaking on why they participated
in the event, Marketing Manager, Diageo Brands Nigeria, Mr. Sola Oke, said Baileys
seeks to constantly satisfy and connect with its consumers through unique
avenues provided by occasions such as the Eloy Awards.
Furthermore, he said: “We
recognise that women all over the world, especially Nigerians are taking giant
steps worthy of note to advance their course. The trendy and stylish women
would always strive, lifting their shoulders high and stand to be counted at
any time. Such is the quality of a brand like Baileys, the drink for the modern
woman. We are proud to be associated with the Eloy Awards which recognise the
efforts of women and their outstanding role in the society” Oke said.
Celebrities present at the event
include Big Brother Africa Winners Uti Nwachukwu and Karen Igho; veteran
actress Taiwo Ajayi-Lycett and Ebuka among others.
Among those who carted away
awards at the event were: Toyin Lawani (Stylist of the Year), Dolapo Oni (Brand
Ambassador of the year), Moofa (Fashion Designer of the Year), Ms. Mosunmola
Umoru, a woman who had dared the odds and prides herself as a female farmer
also got a recognition award from the organisers.
Yemi Alade, Evaezi and Emma Nyra
thrilled the audience with their scintillating performances at the memorable event.
