It is sad
that deputy editor, Saturday Newswatch newspaper, Mr. Toyin Obadina is
gone.
We learnt that the gunmen in two Sport Utility Vehicles blocked
his vehicle, ash Toyota Yaris with their vehicles and shot him around 11.30pm on Friday in Ikorodu, a
suburb in Lagos State.
The bandits
collected his money and shot him in the stomach despite his plea for them not
to kill him.
The 50-year-old quiet man
and an indigene of Ogun State died at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja on Sunday after a surgery to remove the
bullets lodged in his stomach.
He was
survived by his wife, three children; the eldest is 12 years, while the youngest
is five, age mother and others.
