Popular Nigerian dancer, instructor
and choreographer, Kafayat Shafau, popularly known as Kaffy, has in a
recent short video clip posted on YouTube, introduced a new dimension of
her passion to the public while delivering an inspiring cover to
Omawunmi's 'When the Boss Is Coming'.
Kaffy, through her performance in the
video has added another plus to her career
The most recognized dancer on African
entertainment scene today. From choreographing music videos,
reality TV competitions, award shows and live events; to her recently
concluded dance tour in the US and the United Kingdom, it would seem that
Kaffy has successfully channelled her passion for dancing, into a
profitable career.
Initially, her
parents didn’t really support her career because
they see her as an intelligent person who may become a great
engineer but she dropped engineering for dancing.
But her father realised that what she
has achieved through dancing
wouldn’t have been possible if she has
practised engineering for ten years. She
studied fitness at school and also runs a dance school called “Imagnato
Dance Company”.
